Week 11 and I have an interesting week ahead of me…
This week’s blog is brought to you by Ross out of Friends, because as it turned out, I was on a break.
Monday 06 July 2015
I had to attend an internal work conference. The good news was that the location had a gym. The bad news was that we finished after the gym had closed.
Tuesday 07 July 2015
The gym was open in the morning, but I had a very early morning meeting to attend. I had made up for that disappointment by finishing my current book, The Quiet Soldier – On Selection With 21 SAS by Adam Ballinger, which I found fascinating and very thought-provoking.
Wednesday 08 July 2015
In the evening I went to a Concerto evening Debbie was performing in, and while she was doing that I planned a navex for a morning in Snowdonia on Saturday. I had to be near Chester for Saturday lunchtime so my plan was to drive up on Friday, basha at the foot of the mountain overnight, and then hit Aran Fawddwy at dawn. So I put together a few grid reference RVs to get some practice in.
Thursday 09 July 2015
I was really pushing through work to free myself up for Friday.
Friday 10 July 2015
I had a feeling this was going to happen. I found myself working well into the evening, with no chance at all of being able to set off for Snowdonia. That is a navex which will have to be saved for another dawn.
Saturday 11 July 2015
I drove up to Chester and back in the day and enjoyed a fun time with family. Looking back at photographs from 40 years ago was also fun. I was clearly ahead of my time.
